SANOKIKO Security · Protective shield / A4 binder
BAINDATE
A binder every day. A shield the moment it matters.
Most protective equipment has a problem before the incident even starts: carrying it changes the tone of the room. The BAINDATE solves this by being a completely ordinary object - a standard A4 clipboard binder with pockets, a paper clip and a magnetic closure - whose back cover is made of flame-retardant, high-impact resin that resists impact, cutting, chemicals and flame. Staff at a reception counter hold it all day without provoking anyone. When a threat appears, the same object becomes a compact shield, gripped by the adjustable strap on the back.
Operating principle
How it is used
Carry as a binder
In daily use the BAINDATE is a normal A4 binder: documents in the pockets, papers under the clip, cover held shut by magnets. Nothing about it reads as security equipment.
Present when a threat appears
Put your hand through the adjustable strap on the back cover and hold the protective face toward the threat. Deployment takes seconds and requires no assembly.
Keep your distance
Work at 80 cm or more from the aggressor. The shield is used to block, deflect and push back sudden attacks - with edged weapons, chemicals or fire - while distance is maintained.
Evacuate
The BAINDATE is protective, not restraining. After deflecting an attack, the correct response is immediate withdrawal to safety while support responds.
Why this design
Three defining characteristics
Unprovocative by design
It looks like what it is most of the day: a binder. Staff in customer-facing roles carry protection constantly without escalating any interaction or alarming the public.
Engineered protective face
The back cover is flame-retardant high-impact resin - resistant to impact, cutting, chemicals and flame. It is the same protective-material engineering approach applied across Sanokiko's security range.
Useful every single day
Because it is a working A4 binder, it is in the user's hands when the incident starts - not in a cupboard. Protective equipment only works if it is actually being carried.

Configuring the BAINDATE
Colour variations
Black, blue, pink and green. Colour options allow the binder to match existing front-desk stationery so that it remains visually unremarkable.
Left-handed version
The standard model is configured for right-handed use. A left-handed version is available on request.
Combined deployment
Used alongside other CERBERUS tools
With SC17
BAINDATE protects the member of staff who faces the threat first; the SC17 at a fixed post then completes restraint at distance once support arrives.
With SB224
BAINDATE covers the first seconds of an incident at the counter; the SB224 holds working distance and controls movement as responders take over.

Controlled supply
How the BAINDATE is sold and managed
Institutional buyers only
The BAINDATE is supplied exclusively to verified law enforcement, correctional, military, medical and institutional buyers. The manufacturer does not sell to private individuals, and SANOKIKO EUROPE applies the same policy across Europe. Purchaser status, premises and intended use are confirmed before any order is accepted.
Contract-based sale
Every sale is concluded under written terms of supply, following the manufacturer's own practice in Japan. Where the buyer's confirmed status or intended use does not meet the conditions of sale, the order is declined.
Documented supply
Supplied through the same verified channel as the CERBERUS range, with written terms of supply and documented delivery to each buyer. Classification and import documentation are confirmed at order stage.
