CERBERUS Series · Arm / Leg restraint
SO7
440 grams on the belt. Ready in seconds.
The SO7 is the tool that is carried rather than fetched. At approximately 440 grams it sits on a duty belt or in a ward response bag, and it secures a wrist or an ankle by being applied to the limb - firmly where the situation demands it, or slowly and gently where it does not. The inner surface is cushioned so that it can be used against bare skin, which is why it is also used for the protected movement of patients in psychiatric care rather than only in arrest situations.
Operating principle
How it is deployed
Apply to the wrist or ankle
The band wraps the limb on contact. Where the situation allows, a slow and gentle application achieves the same restraint - the tool does not require force to function.
Pull the grip case to tighten
A sharp pull on the grip case closes the wrap and secures it.
Add the rope for full restraint
The integrated rope extends the working length to approximately 130 cm, allowing the secured limb to be tethered or controlled after the initial wrap.
Move or hand over
With movement restricted and the skin protected, the subject or patient can be moved under control.
Why this design
Three defining characteristics
Carried, not stored
Small enough to be on the person before the incident starts. Response time is the time it takes to reach the belt.
Skin-safe inner surface
Soft cushioning on the inside allows use directly against bare skin, which is what makes the tool appropriate in clinical as well as custodial settings.
Difficult for the subject to remove
The high-grip fastener design prevents removal by the restrained person while allowing the operator to release it easily - including in training.
Key features
What the SO7 does
- Restraint achieved by applying the band to the limb - no projectile, no cartridge, no charge.
- Approximately 440 g and handheld, for immediate access in an emergency.
- Compact and manoeuvrable in tight spaces such as vehicle interiors and ward rooms.
- Designed for controlled restraint, which supports proportionate use-of-force reporting.
- Pairs with the SC17 for staged restraint - torso first, limbs second.

Configuring the SO7
Integrated rope
Supplied with the unit. Extends the working length to approximately 130 cm for tethering after the initial wrap.
Combined deployment
Used alongside other CERBERUS tools
With SC17
SC17 restrains the torso and allows the officer to step back; SO7 then secures the wrists or ankles for a controlled hand-over.
With SF7
SF7 secures a limb from distance; SO7 completes restraint at close quarters once the situation is stable.
Operational contexts

Controlled supply
How the SO7 is sold and managed
Institutional buyers only
The SO7 is supplied exclusively to verified law enforcement, correctional, military, medical and institutional buyers. The manufacturer does not sell to private individuals, and SANOKIKO EUROPE applies the same policy across Europe. Purchaser status, premises and intended use are confirmed before any order is accepted.
Contract-based sale
Every sale is concluded under written terms of supply, following the manufacturer's own practice in Japan. Where the buyer's confirmed status or intended use does not meet the conditions of sale, the order is declined.
Serial-number traceability
Each unit carries an individual serial number recorded by the manufacturer, linking every tool to its original delivery. This supports asset registers and audit requirements in procurement, and is part of the manufacturer's measures against misuse, theft and resale.
Specifications, pricing and documentation
Full technical documentation, pricing and lead times for the SO7 are provided to verified procurement contacts. All supply is subject to end-user verification, written terms of supply, and import licensing requirements in the destination country. Each unit is individually serial-numbered by the manufacturer. Customs classification: HS 9304.
