CERBERUS Series · Multi-purpose restraint
SB224
950 grams. Rigid shaft. Full control of distance.
At approximately 950 grams the SB224 is the lightest tool in the CERBERUS range, and the one a single officer can hold and redirect for the longest. The shaft is rigid throughout - there is no weighted tip and no flexible section - and the head is shaped so that the operator can hold working distance, guide a limb, and restrict movement without needing a wall or barrier to work against. It is designed to be picked up and used correctly with minimal instruction.
Operating principle
How it is used
Hold working distance
The head is presented toward the subject and rotated to set the distance the operator wants to keep. Distance control is the primary function.
Guide the limb
The head is shaped to engage an arm or a leg and disrupt balance, giving the operator a means of directing movement rather than absorbing it.
Restrict movement
Once engaged, the head restricts the range of movement available to the subject while the operator remains at shaft length.
Hand over or disengage
If the subject takes hold of the head, twisting the shaft frees it. The operator retains the option to break contact at any point.
Why this design
Three defining characteristics
Multi-function head
One head geometry covers holding distance, engaging a limb and restricting movement, so the officer is not switching tools mid-incident.
Difficult for the subject to take control of
The head and the irregular cross-section shaft are designed so that a subject who grabs the tool cannot easily use it; the operator twists the shaft to break free.
Self-standing
Placed head-down, the unit stands unsupported. It can be positioned anywhere it is likely to be needed rather than only where a rack exists.
Key features
What the SB224 does
- Approximately 950 g - the lightest pole in the range, and manageable for a single operator.
- Rigid shaft throughout: no weighted tip, no flexible section, no telescopic mechanism.
- Compact enough to use in confined spaces.
- Self-standing design allows flexible placement without a wall mount.
- Used alongside SC17 or SF7 to cover a wider range of situations.

Configuring the SB224
Long shaft
173 cm version at 1.1 kg, for settings where a greater standing distance is preferred to minimum weight.
Combined deployment
Used alongside other CERBERUS tools
With SC17
SB224 controls the approach and holds distance; SC17 applies the band restraint and allows the operator to withdraw.
With SF7
SB224 restricts movement while SF7 secures the limb from distance.
Operational contexts

Controlled supply
How the SB224 is sold and managed
Institutional buyers only
The SB224 is supplied exclusively to verified law enforcement, correctional, military, medical and institutional buyers. The manufacturer does not sell to private individuals, and SANOKIKO EUROPE applies the same policy across Europe. Purchaser status, premises and intended use are confirmed before any order is accepted.
Contract-based sale
Every sale is concluded under written terms of supply, following the manufacturer's own practice in Japan. Where the buyer's confirmed status or intended use does not meet the conditions of sale, the order is declined.
Serial-number traceability
Each unit carries an individual serial number recorded by the manufacturer, linking every tool to its original delivery. This supports asset registers and audit requirements in procurement, and is part of the manufacturer's measures against misuse, theft and resale.
Classification
Specifications, pricing and documentation
Full technical documentation, pricing and lead times for the SB224 are provided to verified procurement contacts. All supply is subject to end-user verification, written terms of supply, and import licensing requirements in the destination country. Each unit is individually serial-numbered by the manufacturer. Customs classification: HS 9304.
